These Castrol Rankings are so English biased... Paul Robinson over Yaya Toure, Dempsey, Park, Chamakh, and Pienaar?
ReplyDeleteThe Castrol Rankings definitely have faults but I'm not sure I agree that they are English biased. Out of the top 40 Premier League players, only 8 are English. (5 of the top 20 are English).
ReplyDeleteCompare that to the top 40 in Spain (22/40 Spanish Players), Italy (16/40 Italian Players), Germany (19/40 German Players), and France (21/40 French Players).
I do agree that it seems strange that Paul Robinson has such a high ranking though (Marcus Hahnemann too). Apparently, though not the most skilled/best players, they are highly influential in helping their teams win.
Thanks
