ReplyDeleteMy bad, I was looking at an old match report when I saw the pronunciation. Thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Kljestan is pronounced like Klest-gin. Cool idea, btw.
ReplyDeleteThanks ryan.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I've always pronounced it, and most announcers seem to pronounce it that way or rhyme it with "question".
I just wonder if it is really something like Klest-in without the "sh" or "g" sound in the middle. It seems like the "official" pronounciation would be listed somewhere but it seems to be a mystery, even to Chivas.
Update: Sacha's brother, Gordon Kljestan was recently signed by New York, and they listed his last name pronuncation as KLESH-tahn on their official MLS page.
