  2. The numbers are the highest league position each team has finished in since 1992.

    The five "1" teams have won the league at some point in the last 20 years.

    Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Newcastle United's best ever finishing position has been 2nd.

    Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, and Norwich City's best ever finishing position has been 3rd.

    Everton, Tottenham Hotspur - best finishing position 4th

    etc.
