You should do average rank for each of these languages!

ReplyDeleteI thought about doing that, but with this particular list it wouldn't be all that accurate.
I used a population cutoff for French and English meaning a couple of dozen small Caribbean and Oceania nations weren't included in this list. Obviously that would drastically change the average rankings.
Also a few countries (Belgium, Canada, etc.) are listed more than once because they have multiple official languages.
Maybe I'll try to come up with a reasonably accurate way to do an average 'language rank' at some point, it would definitely be interesting to look at.
